I am 3 days post TT and I will say that day 1 & 2 were pretty bad, today I stopped my pain meds and I feel good. I’m tired and sore but it’s not outrageous like I had imagined. The drains are a nusance more than anything and I want them removed immediately, but know that it’s best to keep them in until all fluids are removed. The only thing I am wondering is when I do get up from sitting or being in bed-I feel like I’m ripping the glue off one side of my incision. It burns pretty bad, does anyone else have this sensation? I’m wondering how long before the incision pain like that goes away?
I am 5 days post op.. I had a mini-TT, umbilical hernia repair and a breast aug. I thought I was doing a bit much, and I was right. The boobs actually dont hurt just a lot of pressure, my belly button is real sore and my stomach is still numb but very sore. I stopped taking the meds after day 3 but probably should have continued them.. Im now just taking the muscle relaxer.. After I removed the pain pump today I stopped wearing the binder.. BAD DECISION – End of day now, and Im in a lot of pressure pain.. and my drain has not been draining much.. So keep it on.. I go back in 2 days to the doctor to get it removed. Im hopeful my recovery is quick and easy after this… Good Luck to those that are getting one soon.. just know.. the mini-TT is very painful.. more then the other two surgeries I had done.
Agreed pain is the name as I had a major umbilical hernia also now 5 days back so is under repair as well. Wanted to know if your peristalsis is driving you crazy as well.mine is as the intestines keep shifting and moving and I can feel them all the time. Very ET like. The raw pain has kept me very immobilized and sleep has been a challenge. I do advice the wrap around the abdomen at all times.do not take any chances
I had a tummy tuck 4 weeks ago so far doing good . I have had a little problem healing on my hips due to the binder rubbing me raw.. Other than that I luv my tummy tuck after having 2 c-sections . one in 2000 and the other in 2004 . I think the pain level is about the same .. I would suggest anybody to have it done that is thinking about it. It is well worth it to have the flat stomach.. I cant wait till the summer to get in my first bikini.. GOOD LUCK TO EVERYONE….
Hey everyone I am 10 days post TT and I think so far I have been pretty lucky with my recovery. The first 2-3 days were the worst then after that I felt good and I was up and walking about. I had my first drain removed day 4 and the second one day 6. I have to admit I found the drains uncomfortable. I came back to work day 7 ( I am a spa supervisor and we are very quiet for the winter so I am just sitting all the time and can leave whenever I need to) I was under strict instructions not to do anything.. and even doing nothing left me wiped out so I wouldn’t recommend even going back to a desk job less than 10 days. I`ve had one day so far where I felt really bad but now I feel great. I do recommend sticking to what your surgeon tells you for a quicker recovery.
I have had a TT/Lipo/Lift on the 24th Jan and having a reasonably good recovery with minimal discomfort. Can anyone guide me with a healthy diet that I can follow from hereon?
I had a medium abdomino 5 weeks ago and although the excess skin has gone its,not what i expected, the hips seem to look wider and the bellybutton is massive, moreover still some swelling on the tummy.
March 27,2012. My surgery date was March 8,2012. Im at my 19th after my tummy tuck and I’m still very uncomfortable and wearing my drainage tube. My cc count daily now is now at 75cc’s. Today is Tuesday March 27th and I’m hating that I ever went thru such a painful experience. I feel like my stomach was cut in half with a chain saw. Obviously I have 0 tolerance when it comes to pain. I’ve only been outside 2 times since my surgery to visit my doctor on the 19th of March and went out for lunch on March 25th. I want this tube out and my life back!! People keep telling me to be patient but I just wished I would have never put my body thru such stress. At 75cc’s as of today I don’t see my tube coming out anytime soon.
I am currentley 4 day post mini abdominoplasty and liposuction.i find that i also have the burning pain in my wound, the pain only comes when im lying flat and trying to get up or from when ive been sitting down so its probably pulling on my stitches when i try and straighten up,I also have quite alot of swelling above my incision and also were the lipo was done, its actually bigger now with swelling than when i went in,does anybody know if this is normal????
Good morning, Okay I realized that everyone is different. I’m going to be totallay honest with you guys. I got a full Lipo to my abs and flanks and a mini tummy tuck. Day one was the worst because at about 4 in the morning I vomit and it hurt so bad. I try to take my meds and just sleep. But truthfully the pain was not all that bad. I stop taking the pain meds mid day two and just concentrated on anti-inflammatory meds to prevent infections. That was my goal. Didn’t wanted any infection. I was “never” walking hunched over except for day one after the surgery. I have been walking upright as well as walking up and down my stairs period. I’m not over doing it but simply just trying to prevent clots and fever. Now dont get me wrong I’m sore as heck. Mainly my back and my butt for some reason. But all is well and I think it was well worth it. Blessings to you all.
I’m having a full TT in December. Reading the blogs is making me more anxious. I look forward to the flat tummy.
