The tummy tuck or the abdominoplasty is a procedure where extra fat around the abdominal area is removed. It definitely has effects on the muscles surrounding the area and you can feel these muscles pain quite a bit during the healing process. Most female patients of a tummy tuck get the procedure done, once they are through having children. After a few kids, the abdominal muscles tend to weaken and sag. But that does not go to say that there are no chances of pregnancy after a tummy tuck. While in most cases this would have been totally unplanned for, in some others it happens just by chance. There is no danger as such involved in getting pregnant after a tummy tuck. But this has proven to be a very subjective affair.

A tummy tuck involves removing excess skin and fat. Excess skin is stitched away it is natural to feel a sense of tightness around the stomach. Even after you have completely healed, a pregnancy could result in the stretching of these muscles. This can be a bit painful. There are however, several women who have had a pregnancy after a tummy tuck, but they have not really felt any difference.

In case you are pregnant, then you should consult your doctor on what needs to be done. There are some women who have gone through their pregnancy without feeling a minute stretch of pain. There are others however, who have entered their second semester and feel the tug and pull of muscles as they get stretched to capacity. There is also some medical to show that the women who have had tummy tuck can be prone to an early birth. With the tucking in of certain muscles, it becomes difficult to create space for a baby that is growing.
